A Week of Musings: 03 April
I love a weekly roundup. A lot of my favourite bloggers do them, either a summary of shoppable links, a menu of the recipes they are loving or a curated edit of the articles they’ve loved from throughout the week. So I thought I might occasionally start doing the same, sharing the things that I’ve loved from the week, the articles that made me think or nod in agreement, the documentary I can’t stop asking people if they’ve seen and the blog posts that I’ve devoured and shared among my friends and I thought I’d call it ‘A Week of Musings’, because… well, honestly, it sounds better than ‘stuff I enjoyed this week and hope you will too’.
The new Beth O’Leary book is just days away, and the Dymocks website has the first three chapters available to read right now.
I loved this article by Brooke Boney in The Age talking about style ruts and balancing trends and overconsumption.
If you’re in love with the hair and makeup in season two of Bridgerton this interview is for you.
I love this essay about bucking social norms to go for ice-cream dates instead of catch-ups at bars.
This piece in Glamour Magazine from the incredible Alice du Parcq talks about the changing landscape of fragrance and how you don’t need to spend a lot to get incredible scents from the world’s best perfumers.
I’ve been oogling over the stunning NYC apartment of Shonda Rhimes in Architectural Digest – the window backed kitchen cabinets – genius!
I’ve been giving my BorrowBox app a serious workout lately – I love having physical books to curl up with at night, but having the same book as an audiobook on loan from the library for when I’m driving or out for a walk is a game-changer – I’m powering through my reading list!
A sneak-peak at the latest Hello Sunshine (Reese Witherspoon’s production company) book-to-film adaptation of Where The Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens.
A list of the most anticipated book releases over the next few months – Portrait of a Thief and The Woman In The Library are firmly on my wishlist.
If you like delicious recipes delivered to your inbox I recommend signing up for Alison Roman’s ‘A Newsletter’ – you won’t get inundated with countless emails, just one glorious recipe every two weeks with an accompanying video tutorial.
Hope everyone has a gorgeous week! x
